Konami at gamescom 2009

gamescom

New for August 2009, gamescom is the latest in a long line of European trade fairs that specialises in the video games industry.

Being held in Cologne, Germany from the 19th to 23rd August, gamescom is ran by the ‘Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware’ (German Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software) an organisation representing thirteen of the major video games companies including Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft.

Konami, creators of the PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) series of games, were also in attendance. They were there to show off the latest code of PES 2010, the next installment of the game being scheduled for a 23rd October release.

They told of how feedback from the community, which the users of PESFan form a large part, had been heard and their suggestions directly incorporated into the game, including manual keeper, 360-degree control and more.

PESFan was also at the forefront with regards generating interest, and our new relationship with Konami as the official PES site helped us to secure some exclusive material that has been linked to by websites around the globe.
